Your theme is a starting point, not a ceiling
The free themes I covered back in module 3 are good. They'll get you launched, look professional, and convert. But every theme has limits. At some point you're going to want something specific (a feature, a section, a widget) that your theme doesn't include and the app store doesn't quite solve.
In the past, your only option was to hire a Shopify developer. That meant $1,500 to $5,000 and a 4 to 6 week timeline for what's often a single section. For most vendors at this stage, that wasn't realistic, so the feature didn't get built and the store stayed limited to whatever the theme came with.

This module is optional. Everything in modules 1 through 10 gives you a complete, converting store without touching a line of code. This module is for when you want to push past what your theme offers out of the box.
