Setting up Shopify Payments: the exact fields and what they're asking for

Shopify Payments is Shopify's built-in payment processor. Using it means:

• No extra transaction fees on top of payment processing (unlike third-party processors)
• Lower credit card rates than most alternatives
• Automatic enablement of Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay at checkout, all of which boost conversion rates

Setup takes about 10 minutes and requires some personal and business information. Here's what you'll need and why.

Availability. Shopify Payments is available in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and 20+ other countries. If you're somewhere it's not available, Shopify will offer PayPal and third-party processors instead. The setup process differs but the principles are the same.
