Connecting your domain: buying new vs. using one you already have

Your store needs a real address

Right now your store's URL looks something like yourstore.myshopify.com. That's your permanent Shopify URL. It never changes and you'll always use it to log in. But for everything customer-facing, you want a real domain: yourbrand.com.

Two paths here: buy a new domain through Shopify, or connect an existing domain you already own.
